Rare and valuable Rotary memorabilia: a copy of the Code of Ethics (260 x 385 mm), adopted at the Sixth Annual Convention in San Francisco in July 1915, signed and dated 3/3/1917 by Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary International.

Specialist Notes

The Rotary Code of Ethics defines the moral principles that guide Rotary International members in their professional and personal lives and in their community service. It is not a set of rigid rules, but a shared ethical framework, founded on integrity, responsibility, and a spirit of service. The foundations of the Rotary Code of Ethics are: 1. Integrity and fairness Rotarians are expected to act with honesty, transparency, and loyalty, avoiding conflicts of interest and behavior that could damage mutual trust or the image of Rotary. 2. Dignity of work Every profession is seen as an opportunity for service. Rotary promotes: respect for all occupations useful to society professional excellence fair practices in employment and business relationships 3. Service above self Rotary's guiding principle is " Service Above Self . " This means dedicating your skills and time to serving your community, both locally and internationally.
