Information

Inghilterra
length 39 cm.
Smoothbore round barrels, featuring a cartouche outlined on the back without inscriptions, marked with Birmingham stamps, 15 mm cal. at the nozzle. The stocks are engraved with leaves. Modern locks with flat lock plate signed “J Cook” (only one working mechanism, the other does not hold the cocking position). Full stocks of walnut wood (one with a couple of small cracks and a slight missing part near the lock plate). Brass mounts with small engravings and outlines. Brass-tipped, wooden ramrods. In a wooden box decorated with a naval theme on the lid, with a central silver-colored metal hilt, beautifully worked in bas-relief and openwork depicting a heraldic shield accompanied by sailing ships, and with four mounts at the corners, also of silver-colored metal, decorated en suite with heraldic dolphins (one with marks, probably for silver). The interior, which is well suited to pistols, features green velvet featuring signs of time and use. Provided with a screwdriver, a bullet tray, a flask, and a cylindrical bone container. The pistol compartment is removable. The box has a double bottom. Lock with missing key. Interesting.
