Specialist Notes

Exceptional manuscript written by a Neapolitan florist and compiled in Naples in July 1821, dedicated to Ferdinand I, King of the Two Sicilies.

In the dedication to the reader, the composer, Pietro Camus, reveals himself as a "simple florist at the Royal Establishment of St. Francis Sales, after having had the honor of presenting my flowers to His Majesty before she left, I wanted to offer her something else upon her return and I imagined composing this dance, entitled The Power of the Gods, or the Triumph of Savio".
