Specialist Notes
Valuable and rare edition. In the dedication of the Priscianese typographer to Giovan Lodovico Pio, we read "Now here is the Life of Dante written highly for Giovan Boccaccio: which I send you as a rare, & new, & worthy (if I am not mistaken) thing of all great Lord (...)". It is in fact the first independent edition of Boccaccio's famous Life of Dante.
