Caricature statuette depicting PIETRO MASCAGNI (Livorno 1863 – Rome 1945), the famous composer of the opera "Cavalleria Rusticana", made of hand-painted plaster, signed Rizzi at the base

Original vintage, measures approximately 300mm in height, in excellent condition

Pietro Mascagni achieved world fame at the age of 26 with "Cavalleria Rusticana" (1890), which won the Sonzogno competition and was immediately performed throughout the world.
