Information

600x400x200mm
Leather suitcase that belonged to Teobaldo Depetrini (Vercelli, 12 March 1913 – Turin, 8 January 1996), a midfielder who played for Juventus FC , arriving in 1933, at the start of the Bianconeri's golden five-year period. The suitcase was a gift from president Umberto Agnelli to each of the players in the 1934-35 season. The president unfortunately passed away in June 1935, before attending the championship celebrations and donating the suitcases to the team. However, they were delivered by Virginia Agnelli, as can be read in the letter (facsimile) that the late Umberto's sister prepared for each player.

" Corso Oporto 26 - Turin 20 July 1935 - XIII - To the Players of the First Team of FC JUVENTUS - the gift that their President had prepared and intended to give them at the meeting he arranged, up there in his beloved Sestriere - now reaches each of their homes and his warm words of satisfaction and praise can no longer accompany it. May they cherish this last gift from their President - It was chosen by him, wanting this memory of a deserved victory to be the companion of their future journeys towards ever new sporting battles: he personally took care of its execution with love so that it could be something truly welcome and dear to his players. - May his players not forget it: above all, may they not forget the duty to continue to be what he wanted them to be: serious, strong, loyal, chivalrous; good sportsmen who do their duty for the honour of their sport, of their club, of their country - Virginia Agnelli "

The leather suitcase, testifying to its provenance, features the footballer's initials, "DT," branded in the center, and two hand-painted black and white bands in the top left corner. Inside are travel accessories, including a perfume bottle, shoehorn, razor case with razor blades, and other accessories, with crystal accents and silver lids. An interesting heirloom for fans of Italian football, and of the most prestigious club in the world, Juventus.

The accessories are missing, but they remain a testament to the suitcase's use. In good condition, with acceptable signs of wear, it opens with snap locks, has a leather handle, and measures approximately 600 mm long, 400 mm wide, and 200 mm thick.
