A copy of “Daredevil The Man Without Fear #1” (1993), graded by CBCS (9.4) and signed by John Romita Jr. Published in 1993, Daredevil: The Man Without Fear #1 marks the beginning of the definitive miniseries on the origins of the “Devil of Hell's Kitchen,” written by the legendary Frank Miller with art by the masterful John Romita Jr. This first issue is not just a superhero story, but a gritty and touching urban drama, focusing on Matt Murdock’s childhood in Hell’s Kitchen. John Romita Jr., at the pinnacle of his art here, offers grimy, dynamic, and atmospheric art that perfectly conveys the sense of oppression and poverty of the neighborhood. Many of the narrative and aesthetic elements introduced in this first issue (such as the improvised black costume instead of the classic spandex one) were the main source of inspiration for the Netflix TV series dedicated to the character.
