Copy of “Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1” (2016) graded by CGC (9.6) and signed by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson. Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1 marks Frank Miller's return to the dystopian universe he created in 1986. For this third installment, Miller collaborates on the script with Brian Azzarello, while the main drawings are entrusted to Andy Kubert with inks by Klaus Janson. The story opens three years after the disappearance of Bruce Wayne; suddenly, a violent Batman reappears in Gotham City, sparking a hunt by the police. At the end of the issue, it is revealed that under the Batman mask is not Bruce Wayne, but Carrie Kelley, who declares that Bruce is dead. Meanwhile, Lara (the daughter of Superman and Wonder Woman) tries to help Ray Palmer (the Atom) restore the bottled city of Kandor to its original size, inadvertently triggering the threat of the "Master Race". The issue includes an insert titled "Dark Knight Universe Presents: The Atom," written by Miller and Azzarello with art by Frank Miller himself, which delves into the supporting characters' subplots.
