In 1885, the company was dissolved and reorganized under the name Wilhelm Schiller & Son, remaining active until the outbreak of World War I.
It is uncertain whether the firm of Schiller and Gerbing produced majolica; however, the later Wilhelm Schiller & Son is clearly recognized as the most prolific of the Bohemian majolica manufactories.
