Antique green marble plinth base decorated with a relief depicting a scene from the youth of Achilles, likely Achilles discovered on Skyros by Ulysses, on four onion-shaped feet, surmounted by Thetis immersing the infant Achilles in the River Stinges. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and a two-train movement, missing hands. Slight chipping of the marble and a loss of bronze near the drapery on Thetis's left arm.
