The Monstrous Mystery of the Nega-Man!
First appearance of Nega-Man and Janus. Written by Stan Lee, penciled by Jack Kirby, John Buscema, and John Romita, inked by Joe Sinnott. Cover by John Buscema and John Verpoorten.
In a daring act, Janus overpowers Mr. Fantastic and launches himself into the Negative Zone. But why? Is he aware of the dangers that await him in the antimatter universe? In reality, Janus—like his name, inspired by the two-faced Roman deity—is also the Nega-Man, and the power of the Negative Zone already flows through his veins.
After their first confrontation with Janus, the Fantastic Four prepare to follow the enemy into the Negative Zone, but an even greater threat emerges from the portal: Annihilus! This issue reveals Janus's origin, as the heroic team faces a new dimension of danger. Annihilus makes a cameo appearance.
