Jaap Stam's autographed card wearing a Lazio jersey, published by Panini for the 2024/2025 Select Serie A Soccer series. Jaap Stam's time at Lazio, which lasted from 2001 to 2004, marked the arrival of a true defensive giant in the Italian league. Arriving from Manchester United with a reputation as an unsurpassed defender, the Dutchman confirmed all his qualities in Rome: overwhelming physical power combined with surprising speed for his size and a competitive spirit that instilled fear in every opposing attacker. The highlight of his Lazio career was winning the Coppa Italia in 2004, won in a two-legged final against Juventus, where his defensive leadership was crucial in securing the victory.
