Beautiful allegorical frontispiece engraved in copper, frontispiece printed in red and black with wooden typographical mark, with 8 sheets of plates (burnished), some light foxing and reddening, coeval binding in full rigid parchment, title in gold within a green gusset. § Together in the lot Claudius Aelianusm, Ailianou Ta euriskomena apanta. Claudii Aeliani Praenestini pontificis et sophistae. Meliglossus aut Meliphthongus ab orationis suauitate cognominatus, opera [...], se, sl, sd Various illustrations in the text, some rare glosses, the first fascicles are missing, after the title page the text starts on page B4, some repaired losses, light browning, slight foxing, contemporary leather binding, title within a tag on the spine, some losses and signs of aging.
