Rome, Salviucci, 1884. In 4vo. A copy with burls, light browning on some leaves, contemporary binding in stiff cardboard, title in black on the spine, very minor defects.
Specialist Notes
A rare treatise by the jurist, archaeologist, and epigrapher Gaetano Marini. Marini held important positions in the pontifical institutions, becoming Prefect of the Vatican Archives and the first custodian of the Vatican Library, making a decisive contribution to the study of Latin epigraphy.
