Information

Lot consisting of letters, from and to Lucio Battisti

- a handwritten letter from Lucio Battisti, written on light green paper, in the original, circulated envelope, addressed to his mother. Turin, November 19, 1965 - Lucio is in Turin, working at the LAS VEGAS, and has signed a contract with RICORDI. The autograph is embellished with a "face" on the final "O" of LUCIO, like a modern "emoticon."
- a handwritten letter from Lucio Battisti, written on white paper, in the original, circulated envelope, addressed to his mother. The Hague, April 12, 1965.
- two letters from friends to Lucio, a telegram from Lucio to his mother, a sheet of paper with the typewritten text of an unidentified poetic composition

In his letters, Lucio recounts his days, where he'll be playing, what the calendar proposed by his current impresarios includes, the weather, his expenses (room rent, food), and how much time he spends resting. In short, they're letters from a teenager to his mother, who wants to reassure him that everything is going well. An extraordinary glimpse into Lucio's artistic beginnings.
