Traveled postcard photo with dedication and autograph by the tenor Caruso.
In full costume as Vasco da Gama in Giacomo Meyerbeer's opera "L'Africaine" (The African Woman): the tenor wears complex medieval armor. Top left, printed: "Enrico Caruso (Vasco di Gama)".
The back bears:
- Postmark: "NEW YORK, DEC 30, 1908, 10:30 PM" (from New York, December 30, 1908, 10:30 PM)
- Publisher: "Breitkopf & Härtel, New York – Made in Germany"
- Handwritten recipient address: "All.a Maria Felicetti / 52 Via Cavour / Rome"
- Caruso's handwritten text in italics: "Auguri pel Nuovo Anno – Caruso"

Measures approximately 85 x 135 mm, signs of use and age, good condition.

The tenor sang continuously at the Metropolitan Opera in New York from 1903 to 1920. "L'Africaine" was one of his favorite roles.
