At the center of the composition the Virgin, wrapped in her red maphorion and accompanied by two Holy Fathers, appears to Saint Sergius of Radonezh. The miniatures decorating the building in the background depict Saint Nicholas and Saint John Chrysostom. The scene is surmounted by the Holy Trinity and framed by painted borders with corner scrolls.
