Information
The riza is richly repoussé and chased with a background of scrolling foliage and flowers. The drapery is realistically rendered in its folds and decorations. Bearing the maker’s mark “BC” in cursive, probably for silversmith Vasily Semyonov (?), the assayer’s partially abraded mark “M.A” dated 1866, “84” zolotniki, and a city mark, possibly Kostroma (a quartered shield with cross and crescent).
